"Friday was Pizza Day, the best day of the week! It always came with salad and a side of cold green beans." No salad and green beans today, but I still love Pizza Day! We ordered a few pizzas for lunch for the office. The guy on the phone asked when we wanted it, I told him around 11:30 or 11:45, he said that 11:30 wouldn't be doable. I said 11:45 works, and the pizzas arrived a few minutes early. Major points for delivering on time! I can't count how many times I've ordered pizza, heard 30-45 minutes, and not gotten the pizza for an hour and a half. The pizza itself was good. Not fantastic, but good. I especially like the slices of Italian sausage instead of the crumbles you find at most other places. I'd like to try some of their other things - calzones, breadsticks, whatever - in the future, but for the time being, I'm perfectly happy with pizza.

Fabulous real homemade Italian food!! Their "gravy" is amazing!!. My test for great Italian food is always their meatballs and their "gravy". I had the meatball hero and it was belisimo!! Giant homemade mouthwatering meatballs loaded with flavor and smothered in a delicate gravy rich with tiny chunks of flavorful tomatos, topped with mozzarella and baked to perfection. Yum!! My daughter had the thick slice of pepperoni pizza. She had wanted to order 2 slices but our waiter talked her into ordering 1 slice and if she wanted to she could order a seconds slice. It was good advice since she could not finish her one slice! It was enormous! The dough was thick and chewy yet light with a very flavorful sauce. She loved it!! The service was fast and efficient and the prices are just right. When you are in DTC and craving Italian you must stop by!!

This is the first time I have came to this location however I love this restaurant no matter what location I go to it is always good some things are made a little differently but I can always count on a good slice of pizza pasta and salad

This joint was pretty good. I really liked the pizza, nice big slices and the thin crust is baked really well. Crispy, but not burnt. The bread was pretty good as well. The Garlic knots sounded interesting but I didn't venture that way. I had the pepperoni and garlic, I like the way the Garlic is prepared for the topping. Te service was a little slow and they need to BRIX their soda fountain but beyond that... I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, especially with Old Chicago right close but if someone wanted to go there or I ended up there again, I certainly wouldn't object.

I don't know if I would really call this "New York" pizza, but I would call it delicious!

I am pizza lover and for sure I keep Little Ricci's as a option when choosing pizza to eat. You will find some options of pizza like thin crust, thick crust and calzones. I ordered all meat calzone (Pepperoni, Sausage, Ham, Canadian Bacon) which came loaded of cheese. Awesome! full of flavor.

lil ricci's: a perfect new years eve dinner? you might not agree, but maybe you've just never tried it. garlic knots: i could eat the whole basket plus some. so buttery and garlicy and knotty. regular ol' cheese pizza: SO GOOD. the slices were huge, and covered in a blanket of snuggly parmesan and a dash of red pepper, it was perfection. maybe i just hadn't had pizza in a while, but suddenly i didn't care about my trip to the gym earlier, my mind was consumed with consuming as much pizza as possible. and! good part: it was cheap. 4 of us had an appetizer and at least two slices of giant pizza for 5 dollars a person. sure i got made fun of my 7/8 italian boyfriend for loving this so much when he was making his own new years eve pizza, but not all of us are blessed with pizza making genes, so we come to lil riccis.

great pizzas, comparable to Anthony's, Abos, etc. It's large with just enough cheese and toppings to make it messy and greasy. I love the tomato sauce that they use, it's light with just enough flavor, not overly salty. However, i would stick to the pizzas and wings. Everything else on their menu can't compare to their pies, although their tomato sauce really saves their dishes.

Best pizza!!! Found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. The restaurant its self is a little hole-in-the-wall but the food is amazing. We had both the thin crust and the Sicilian thick crust. Both where great. The Greek salad was amazing too. The service as fast for pizza. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and will bring friends and family here when they come to town for a visit.

The best way I can think to describe Lil Ricci's is "pleasantly average." Make no mistake about it, this place is a semi-regular in my restaurant rotation, but there's nothing in particular that I could point to as exceptional. The pasta and and other non-pizza type entrees are pretty standard pizza place fare, which to me are somewhat redundant offerings of the same half dozen or so ingredients, all slathered with the same red sauce. I tend to go for the pizza here which is solidly decent and even tastes pretty good right out of the fridge the day after, a must for me when it comes to pizza. I'm also partial to their wings which have a nice tangy-sweet hot sauce and aren't breaded (a plus in my book) and the calzones which are enormous and chock full of cheesy goodness. If you don't have a regular pizza place you like already, or if that regular place has bright red roof or some sort of gaming tile on the box, Lil Ricci's is definitely worth a shot.

The calzone was great. Cant say anything bad about the place. It may have been too good. If you ever had Armandos, its like that.

  • Rory R.

Very disappointing. I was looking forward to a good pizza all week and this just failed miserably. I went with the Sicilian Pizza, which offers a thicker crust. What I got was a lukewarm pie that was just really doughy and pretty devoid of flavor. On top of all of this, it was really expensive. I should have gone with Dominos - which is saying something. Avoid this place.

These guys have one of the better pizzas. I can't get enough of it and their garlic knots and bread rolls are delicious. They also have a bunch of pasta, salads, sandwiches, etc but I usually have to order the pizza when I go. Great place for no nonsense great talian food. The small wait staff is always busy and they do a great job keeping your drinks full.

This place was great, from the service to the food! My boyfriend had the Meatball Hero and I had the Lemon Chicken. His came out first and I was told that they had to redo my dish because the plate broke in the oven. I understood because they were busy that night, but didn't expect that they would comp my meal. That was really generous of them. It was worth the wait because it was so delicious! I wipe my plate clean with the Garlic Knots too ha. I definitely had a bite of the Meatball Hero and that too was so good! Can't wait to come back.

Pizza is good but server did not get order right. We sat at bar, greeted by nice gentleman then girl took over. We had a beer and ordered pizza to go. We got a combo, I've been here before and subbed items and was fine. Asked for just half black olives and got charged .50cents without warning and asked to sub basil for the green peppers and got onions on the pizza but no basil. We were already home but make sure to check pizza before you leave.

  • Blaine B.

Good, not amazing. Service was pretty good. However, they are running a beer of the month special with Dales Pale Ale but have no Dales. It was disappointing and seems a bit lazy to not take sign down or call Dale distributor. Don't get me excited and then not deliver. Pizza was pretty good. Dinner salad good. We had the thin crust and a slice of thick. Fresh mozz is so much better and would make this a much better pie. It's a loud environment during lunch but has a good energy.

  • Cassie D.

Not super pleased with last nights order. I picked it up to save them the drive. Shoulda saved myself the drive. The chicken parm was not breaded, cut into tiny dried up strips, doused in sauce and there was no pasta?! Not sure, but I *THINK* it's supposed to come with pasta. The shells were dried up and for lack of a better word, crusty. They just had an odd taste to them. Like cleaner or something. My fiancé ordered a calzone, and he didn't remark on it so I assume it was ok. He did confirm that mine was...not so good. Really disappointed because there's not much Italian that is reasonably priced over here. Boo.

There are quite a few pizza options in south Denver, and this is certainly on the pricier and fancier side. The menu has a wide selection of choices, and the White Pizza and Combo Pizza both have great tastes. That being said, there at many other options around town that can settle your craving without breaking the bank. If you're looking for a sit down pizza location with some pasta options, this is for you. However if you just want a quick pizza, try somewhere else.

We went here for Italian while we were in Denver from Portland, based on Yelp reviews. For starters, the service was slow. From the start. While the woman who served us offered suggestions, which is always appreciated, we didn't get the half order of garlic knots she offered, the chicken on the pasta my husband ordered, and our bill contained two soft drinks that we didn't order or receive. Given these things, the fact that the food was just okay, and that the vibe of the place was what I can only describe as chaotic, I'm going with two stars. They definitely need additional servers so that you at least have a chance of having a relaxed, pleasant, "served" experience. My aunt, who is a local, won't return either. Bummer.

Excellent food! Good service. Best casual Italian place around DTC. Love the calzones, pizza by the slice, and the Rigs & Ravs!

Greasy and not very flavorful. I don't really like fact that they don't deliver. Their customer service is rotten. Everytime I've walked in there no one greets me and Ive had to ask for help after waiting at the counter for a few minutes. No thanks, I'll try somewhere else.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised to find this place to be more than just a pizza joint. A LivingSocial deal brought me here, but the food and great atmosphere/service will definitely bring me back. First of all, I broke my own cardinal rule of not ordering a restaurant's "specialty" when I eat there the first time, which in this case I would deem pizza considering the towering collection of pizza boxes for their brisk to-go service. Nevermind their huge wood (?) oven! But, for some reason a meatball hero was calling my name, as well as my Dad's. We were both blown away by these heroes! The meatballs were obviously homemade and fresh, the sauce was mild and slightly tangy (also homemade), and it was smothered in cheese and served on a deliciously soft bread. Incredible! My dad said it was the best meatball sandwich he's ever had, and that man doesn't give that kind of praise lightly. They are also very family friendly with a great kids menu- pasta and pizza! What every kid wants :) My 6 year old ordered the rigatoni but I think he might have had food envy as he was scoping other tables' pizzas. The kids' meals came with 2 garlic knots each, which was good because I really wanted to try them so I stole one from my 2 year old. They were good! The atmosphere is very inviting and simple, a nice variety of booths and tables. Service was incredible! Only a few beers on tap, but good ones including Peroni, and when our waitress wasn't checking on us the hostess/busser gal was. Our waitress was genuine and seemed to be enjoying her job. The place is pretty good sized, and was 75% full by the time we left at 6:30 on a Wednesday night, and I watched them do a hopping to-go business while we were there as well. They have a whole counter/area dedicated to their to-go! I can't imagine what a weekend looks like here. They also have some happy hour pricing that I didn't pay too much attention to, but it did say 7 days a week! All in all, this was a great experience in a family friendly environment serving up good food, good drinks, and great service! Now, I need to get back there to try their pizza!

Great go to for a quick Italian lunch. Yummy calzones, size able salads and great pies if you are up for the wait. It's a pretty laid back atmosphere with a lot of DTC business professionals in the mix. Service gods and the food came out in short order.

Yes! NY style pizza at last! We've only ever gotten take out so I can't speak to the service, but the ambiance is relaxed and homey and they're usually pretty packed. Everyone we've dealt with has been friendly, so much so that I'm no longer have a fear of ordering pizza over the phone! (I've had some traumatic experiences with being rushed, snapped at, not understood, etc.) Their thin crust is perfect--crispy but foldable, great flavor. Good quality cheese and a decent amount of toppings. Calzones are rich and cheesy. Still curious about the Sicilian thick crust, but a 16" square pizza... that's a lot of dough. Garlic knots are good, and so are the cannoli, but be advised that the "cannoli" on the menu is actually only one cannolo, and is not dipped in chocolate chips like Americans are used to.

  • John M.

Absolutely unacceptable attitude from the female server working 1pm on a Tuesday. I asked for a thin crust slice, and a thick crust slice, she replies with a snotty manner asking "What kind?"... I have been here before and other servers had been very accommodating and the pizza has been good, although literally her attitude off the bat was enough to make me turn away and find somewhere else to eat for lunch.

I miss living closer to Lil' Ricci's!! My old apartment was walking distance and this place is leaps and bounds above any delivery you'll find in the area. Their quality ingredients and generous touch with toppings will keep you coming back for more. Excellent customer service and friendly staff, and great beer selection on tap. Definitely stop by for a slice. There are meatballs and salad and canollis if you aren't in the mood for 'Za.

Only have had take out pizza from here so cant speak to the place or other menu items. I am orginally from NJ and have had such a hard time since moving here finding good pizza. Let me tell you, this pizza is on par with NJ pizza. The sausage pizza was great, thin sliced just like I like it. Can't wait to have more pizza from here!

This place is within walking distance of my apartment complex, so I was hoping to discover a pizza goldmine. Instead I found a pizza... uhh... coppermine? (Not sure how to continue that mining analogy.) Anyway-- I ate here with my family while they were visiting Colorado, and all agreed that the pizza was good but nothing spectacular. I should note that we ordered the large Sicilian pizza instead of the NY thin crust pizza. I definitely need to go back and try the NY style pizza. We also ordered the garlic knots per the advice of so many prior reviewers. The garlic knots weren't that great. In fact we had some left over that no one wanted to eat. Service was unimpressive. When we were seated, it took at least ten minutes before anyone came over to our table. That's unacceptable. And then throughout our meal it seemed like our server kept changing. Confusing, distracting, and unprofessional. This is one rare instance where I feel like Yelp reviews gave me great expectations that were let down, but like I said--I'd still like to go back and try the NY pizza.

    (2)
  • Buhrm M.

If you love cheese then you'll love the all meat calzone....because that's what you'll mostly get...was mostly cheese and bread. Decent marinara...I'll have to come back and try the pizza sometime and hope for better

I've been coming to Lil Ricci's with my family and our baseball teams for many years. So I'm sad to report a bad experience. If you have plans to eat there anytime within a half hour of their stated closing time DON'T BOTHER. We went in this week at 8:45 and were asked what they could prepare for us to go. I said we were there to eat and she said "We've just closed." i asked what happened to the 9:00pm close time to which she got pissy and said "OK, go ahead and sit down." Witth that attitude you KNOW you're not going to get good service nor will the meal be a very comfortable experience. So we left. It wasn't like we would have been the only ones there. There were people at the bar and a table of 10. I didn't notice if there were other tables. We love the food and the owners have always been great. But apparently the help has no vested interest. As a former restaurant owner I know the value of sticking to your posted hours. People depend on those.

  • Tim K.

Stopped in and had a pizza after a round of golf. Fast, friendly service, reasonable price for an at best, average/good pizza. Nothing special with regard to sauce, crust, flavor, etc. Good product for the masses and I would guess that is where their market is and I am sure they have their following of loyal customers. I cannot complain or criticize that,

  • Tony D.

The restaurant is situated in a enclosed shopping area off of DTC blvd. A little bit difficult to see until you enter the shopping area. The restaurant itself was spacious and airy and was pleasant to visit - i've had lunch and dinner there and it's been quaint. About the food - the side of Yo-Yo was very good - spaghetti aglio with a perfect mixture of EVOO and garlic. The restaurant calls itself a "NY Pizzeria" but the pizza doesn't really bear much resemblance to a NY pie. It's an acceptable version in the Greenwood Village. The Neopolitan pie was acceptable. The Sicilian had very little resemblance to a sicilian pie other than it was square - very little garlic in the dough and just cooked differently. The meatball was tasty with an excellent tomato sauce. The service was very good.

    (3)
  • Matthew M.

The food is pretty good. The pizza options in DTC are pretty few and far in between. Lil Ricci's has a decent menu and happy hour. The service was mediocre. Multiple servers working together on most tables. All in all, not a bad place but nothing to really write home about. I'd come back, but not for any particular reason besides the fact my fiancé liked it.

Your team scores that final goal and are league champions! You head to Lil' Ricci's for a pizza party. The family's in town and you need an easy delicious meal that you know everyone will approve of. You all pile into Lil' Ricci's for the big reunion. You're in for a pizza and movie night and would never order from Domino's. You call up Lil' Ricci's and order piping hot takeout to bring home to the family. For years my family has relied on various locations of this place for all of our pizza needs. This means we have established a pretty standard routine: 1. Drinks and Sticks and Stones for the table with an extra order of marinara 2. Antipasta Salad for 2 to be shared by 4 with their amazing House dressing on the side. 3. Sausage, green pepper, and mushroom pizza either thin crust or sicilian depending on the mood. It's all good anyways! If it's a different kind of night you'll find me ordering Eggplant Marinara which is both spicy and delicious. My brother's been known to eat some canolli's here as well when he wants something sweet to cap off the meal. This is the newest location in the Lil' Ricci's family and although I can't help but think of Sauce every time I walk in, it still has the old familiar smell of my favorite location located by where I used to live. After living in New York I thought I might think differently on the pizza this time but it still was delicious, the staff was attentive, and everyone was happy. For any occasion, Lil' Ricci's delivers*! *Not literally, of course. But it does have reliable take-out!

This is my favorite place for pizza in the DTC. I like that you can get a whole pizza or by the slice, and if you get by the slice you can still choose your toppings. The by the slice gets a little pricy if you pick all your own toppings, it adds up quick. The garlic knots are the best. Their desert knots are also good. I also like their lemon chicken and heros, both also a bit over priced. Watch out for the chicken carbonara, it is delicious but they charge a bunch extra for carbonara sauce and even more to add the chicken, the one time I had it I had to pay $19. Had they told me how much it was going to cost when I ordered it on the phone I would have chosen something else. They are good for carry out and eating in restaurant is also nice.

Haven't been to the DTC location since they moved from Tamarac. We were hungry having done a long hike and a drive back to Denver. Kept it simple, shared a dinner salad and a sixteen inch cheese thin crust pizza with mushrooms. Meal was very good, pizza cooked just right. Service very attentive and as friendly as it was in the old location. Highly recommended! We will return again soon!

This is my GO TO place whenever I want fast(er) Italian food. I have been here on numerous occasions and the guys here are wonderful. I have only had one awkward situation where the waitress was stoned or something but that still didn't deter me from enjoying the food. I have had Fettuccine Alfredo, Pizza, Spaghetti and Lasagna. All the tomato sauces are tangy and flavorful. The Alfredo sauce has a nice creamy base to it and serves my taste buds a good amount of justice. Last time I went, Ben was working the bar and hustling around even for my "little" to-go order. These guys really honor the customers that come in to dine. The atmosphere is inviting and the food is delicious! Usually packed on nights and light on the days. If you're in a hurry, call in your order and you'll be good to go!

  • Grant D.

Overall, quite good. The pizza is on the greasy side, depending on your topping selection, but the taste is always good. Service is mostly good, less so when they are busy. Only thing I would caution, is the Italian Sub. Just run away from it! It is horrible. Meat is sliced as thick as Oscar Mayer and ruins the sandwich. Everything else I've tried there has been a happy (sometimes messy) experience. I always join when a group from the office heads over there and often take a pie home with me for dinner. Just don't order the Italian Sub! Any convenience store will have a better quality one for less money.

I've tried "eat in" and delivery. If you go the eat in route you won't be disappointed. The pizza is hot, thin crust and saucy. However, if you go the pick up route, not worth the expenditure. Cheese was hard to find on the pizza. Sorry guys---I like gooey and saucy pizza...... *it is a bit on the salty side too.

I noticed some of the reviews pertaining to closing time and being turned away, and I guess depending on the day that can happen anywhere. I'd personally never want to be the guy that walked into a restaurant and made people stay later, so if its even close I always ask. The food service industry can be a beating even on a good day. I walked in about 25 minutes to close and asked about carry-out, to which the guys at the counter said was absolutely no problem; they could whip us up anything, the only contingency being they only had 2 custom pizza by the slice left. Ordered the garlic bites, which were great, an order of wings with their hot sauce, which was medium at most, and the house calzone, all of which were very good and large portions. I had taken a tumble on my ATV earlier that day was in obvious pain, and the guy who took our order at the counter offered me a drink on the house. Will definitely be back when in the mood for NY Pizza.

Why the heck is the best ny pizza in denver in the dtc? Garlic knots are killer and a slice, while spendy at 3 bux, was fantastic even a day later reheated! Perfectly crispy crust that still has a good chew. Sauce is perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy, and properly spread. Cheese, accurate and properly portioned as well. Friendly folks with some excellent food. While 5 stars may seem generous, compared to their competitors in denver this place blows them out the door. I've only tried the thin crust slice and knots, but, by the smells, I believe the menu has few weaknesses.

Tried the 2 things people rave about here: Calzones and Garlic Knots. The Garlic Knots lived up to the expectation: they were awesome. ...and for $4 / 10, they were a pretty good deal. The Calzone, however, was $10 and nothing to write home about. It was giant, though... so it was like buying 2 calzones. My wife ordered an antipasto that came with italian dressing (never saw that before). It was meh. Glad I tried it, but the mediocre food and the restaurant prices probably won't have me back until I try all the other pizza places in town.

The garlic knots were excellent - really, really excellent. They were moist and super garlicy and wonderful. They're so good you could skip all of the other good food here and just eat the garlic knots and be fine. The pizza was very good. The service was excellent (somewhat unexpected for a pizza place). I really have nothing to complain about. We'll definitely be heading back next time we're in Denver.

New location - they have moved to DTC Boulevard, in the little group of stores new Jason's Deli, The Tavern, etc. The menu is the same, the ownership is the same, the food is still great!

Ok, I'm stingy with my stars and rarely give five unless I'm really impressed. I asked the server for her reccomendation and got the raviloli yo-yo with chicken. Oh. My. God. My hubby won't want to come near me until the garlic wears off next week, but it seriously might just be worth it. The hubby had the meatball hero and it was equally delicious. Even the chips were awesome! Great service and excellent food, I will definitely be back.

I came in simply to get some garlic knots, hey I needed some driving food, ok?? I ended up ordering garlic bread with cheese also. The place was dead, so they started my food right away. Looks like everything is prepared to order, so expect a few minutes wait. I am fine with that as long as the food is good. Ok, well the garlic bread with cheese was pretty standard. Nothing special to say about it. The bread was crisp and soft where it needed to be. It is what I expected. I was a bit disappointed in the garlic knows. the ones I got should have actually been called Parmesan dough balls. They were not garlic-y or light and airy like I think garlic knots should be. These were very heavy and doughy. I was stuffed after eating less than 4 of them. With that said, they were still tasty, just not what I was thinking I would get. So, the food I tried was a bit disappointing. I am not very eager to try the pizza now. Maybe if someone else buys.

Genuine "Hero" sandwiches they're not! I have eaten sub, grinder, hogie and hero sandwiches all over the country and until this past week at Lil Ricci's, NEVER had a open-faced italian (cold cuts) hero. Just looked at their menu and there is no mention that their heros are open-faced. Shocked and diassapointed was a guy from The Bronx when I got open and unwrapped my "hero"

Great pizza. One of the things I miss most about living in the Tech Center is this pizza place. The workers are always nice and pleasant. I also like their pasta, and usually pizza places either have good pizza or pasta, not both. There are a lot of ways that you can customize your order too.

My family and I moved to the DTC area a few months ago and have been to Lil Ricci's several times. We have had great service every time. Not only is the service good, but the food as well. So many pizza places have tasty pizza, but the other items are below par. This is an exception with Lil Ricci's. We have had their pizzas, several pasta dishes and wings and they all are so tasty. Our 16 month old loves the kid's ravioli. During our last visit, one of the employees brought us a complimentary dessert!

Very good New York style pizza! Although we didn't have a need for it, I noticed gluten-free options.

I love Lil Ricci's pizza. My favorite pizza place ever. Great NY style pizza, great wings, nice restaurant layout, and excellent service. Everything a pizza place should be. Love this place!

Good pizza takes time (well, Live Basil does a pretty good job, but that's a different type). Show up to McDonalds five minutes before closing, but not a sit-down pizza restaurant. The pizza and calzones are both awesome. I like the new location better than the one at Tamarac. I have been here many times and have had nothing but great service!

Upon my first review it had just opened and very busy. Now it is the same great food, same great service along with seating. The owner is one of the nicest persons I have ever met. Love the pizza but love more is the RIGS and RAVS a mixture of ravioli and pasta slathered in marinara sauce. Must go.

Disgusting. Ordered the California Pasta and they brought me oiled noodles with no flavor. Waitress didnt ask us how our meal was until we were done. Told her my meal was nasty she asked if I wanted something else. um, no? You came a little too late. Very lackadaisical attitude. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. I suggest going elsewhere.

I just moved away from being very close to this Lil Ricci's. I really like the cheese pizza here, and all of the wait staff were always exceptionally friendly and accommodating to my wife and I when we sat outside with our pup. Back to their food, another dish I really enjoyed was the eggplant marinara, it's breaded eggplant like parmigiana, but sliced and then served on top of spaghetti and sauce. Delicious! I'll miss being able to go here easily, but I'm sure I'll make my way back once in a while. Final note, my friend and I used to go to the Lil Ricci's on Jordan and Lincoln a lot, and that one is also very good.

Food is always good. Consistently good service. The are happy to have big groups and kids. The waiter was running last night, but service was good and quick. The Garlic knots are our favorite

Food was OK. Service was pretty slow though. We went during the week late evening and it wasn't crowded but still service was very slow. Calzone was good and lemon chicken was delicious but their garlic knots disappointed me. They were rather bland.

My family loves this place. We've been coming several times per month for years. I consider it the best NY pizza in the area, and I'd normally give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, two of the last several times we have tried to eat here we have been turned away before the closing time, even when calling ahead. I love you, Lil' Ricci's, but some consistency with your closing hours would be appreciated.

The price is great - the knots are a family favorite, the pizza is good, both thin and pan, the salad is fresh and the service is good. You cannot go wrong eating here, lunch or dinner. Nice bar and sports on the TV - what else do you really need?

Lil' Ricci's took over the space vacated by another pizza place named Sauce. The interior hasn't changed much since the changeover, but it didn't need to. Obviously the pizzas have changed, and for the better. I'm a bit of a pizza snob to be honest. My ideal pizza is a thin crust with high quality vegetables but most importantly baked in a wood fired oven to give the dough a gorgeous flavour. The closest I've found to that in Denver has been Marco's Coal Fired Pizza in LoDo. This is a good second. The pizza at Ricci's has a nice crust although it's not wood or coal fired and the ingredients seems good enough. I'm not sure the pizza deserves the price but it's by far better than the Hut or Johns and I'd go as far as to say the best pizza in the DTC.

This was my first time at this Lil Ricci;s location. When I lived in Aurora I frequently dined at the Lil Ricci's at Parker and Orchard. I was skeptical that this location would be as good as my old one. I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was great and the service excellent. I recomend the garlic bread w/ cheese over the garlic knots. I don't know why people are crazy for those.

I can't say enough about this place when it comes to food. After dinner we sat up at the bar and one of our friends had ordered the Firehouse Wings (pretty much their signature wings).. OMG I don't even LIKE chicken wings and I kept eating them and took some to go with me back to Nevada of all places since I was leaving the next day to go home. They are SPICY and perfect. The owners are very genuine and I was blown away by the quality of the food since it's not what you'd call a "ritzy" place. I think if they offered a free 12 oz beer with a wing order word would spread about their original recipe. Oh, and I had a slice of pizza previously with all of my favorite toppings and the deep dish crust was incredible and the flavors on the pizza were perfect. I can't say enough good about this place and if I ever lived in Littleton, CO I'd be a regular. Please try this place!

I don't often write reviews, but I will if the food/service/something else is particularly good or, as in this one, particularly bad. No, it wasn't the food. The food is delicious - hot, fresh and tasty. The wait for it was a little long, but I guess that's to be expected when the food is made to order. The service was fine. Not exceptional, but not worth complaining about. My complaint is that I told both our server and another server standing near us (restaurant family member?) that I am extremely allergic to onions and garlic. I specifically asked if there were any onions or garlic in the sauce for the eggplant parmesan, and told them both why. I was assured that they could sub pizza sauce for the red sauce, because that had no onions or garlic. On my salad, I asked for plain mayo, for the same reason (most salad dressings have onions and/or garlic). When my dinner arrived, it was hot and quite good. Too good. With my allergies, I am used to most restaurant food tasting fairly bland. But since I'd been assured, I ate it. Towards the end, however, I realized that I hadn't specifically asked about the breading on the eggplant, although that should have been a red flag to anyone working in a restaurant and who knew there was garlic salt in the breading. (They knew). As they cleared our plates, I said, "I just have to ask one more time... was there garlic in the breading?" Of course, the answer was, "Yes, there is". There may have been a slight, barely audible, "I'm sorry". I'm not really sure, because I was quite upset. I don't understand how restaurant owners can NOT train their servers to LISTEN when they hear the word, "allergy". Especially the words, "severe allergy". I won't know for another 5 hours whether or not this will require a trip to the emergency room, or if it does how severe the reaction will be (it's anaphylactic - could be deadly). What I do know is that this "Oh well" attitude is unacceptable in a restaurant. If you have any allergies at all, be assured that the servers in this restaurant do not consider your allergies their problem. If they are severe, don't chance it.

The Pizza is delicious - new york style done fairly right. I hold NY Pizza to a high standard so this one isn't at the very top, but it's one of the best I've had in Colorado so far. Colorado seems to have a deficit of decent pizza places (see Stumpy's, Slices and Pudge Brothers) Yuck. We've had dine in and take out and both were good. Atmosphere is decent for a pizza joint but it can be very loud at times, making for a pretty unpleasant experience. I recommend sticking with the pizza here. I tried the eggplant parmesan and it was pretty much inedible. The eggplant was soggy and tasted like it was cooked a week prior. If that had been my only experience, I wouldn't return. Go with the pizza - and do takeout, and you won't be disappointed.

I wonder why so many of these Greenwood Village establishments get such high ratings when they are just ok. It must be because there is nothing that great to compare them to in the first place. We came here for lunch and I ordered the gluten free pizza which was proudly displayed on the menu. The bartender didn't even know what I was talking about and then said they were out of it. OK, so we ordered a regular pizza and I wish we had just walked out. The pizza was not good. not good. It was bland and there is no way these people come from NY!

Garlic knots are great! I ordered the chicken parm the first time I went here and it was terrible! I probably would have given the place only one star! However, the I did go back and the knots were great, the pizza was great and the caprese salad was pretty ok (it almost had too much cheese, who would have thought that could happen!) The pizza was a huge slice, thin and crispy, and pretty tasty. This is a great place for some cheap Italian. Its not the best you'll ever eat, but its also very cheap for Italian. I'd definitely go back.

My buddies and I had to wait a while before our orders were taken, but what can you expect from a hole in the wall NY style pizza place in Denver. What I ordered: two thin crust pepperoni slices with root beer - it hit the spot. I can imagine returning when I'm drunk and in need of a salty, greasy unhealthy fix to sedate my arteries.

Very good, solid east coast style pizza. We came all the way from downtown for this pizza. The cheese, the crust, the ingredients, its all there. I'm reluctant to give places five stars, and we debated this one, but I feel it is deserved. The staff was super friendly as well. I felt like I was at an good pizzeria in Jersey.. and thats what they deliver on. I mean, this is Colorado after all...

Wow great food, great atmosphere, great customer service. I came here with my parents today for lunch and now wish I had a lil riccis in California! Their rolls are delish and their salad was nice and fresh. My parents and I all concur that this is a 5 star place so this review actually counts as 3 total reviews :) Plenty of food for a great price! Definitely coming back when I come out to visit.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
